Chester's first Taekwondo grading.

As a Mother, I am always proud of my Children, they never cease to amaze me.

But yesterday, was a very special day for Chester.

For the last few months he has been working towards his Orange belt in Taekwondo. You may remember me mentioning his Taekwondo before. Ever since he started it just a few months ago, he has been dedicated and enthusiastic about it. In short he absolutely loves it! I am so pleased that he has found something he enjoys to focus all of his energy on!

He woke up early yesterday very excited about the day ahead. As none of us had ever attended a grading before, we were not really sure what to expect. So I made sure Chester had practised his counting in Korean. He seems to have memorised up to 10 so far, and just made him aware that he would have to listen carefully and do exactly as he was told.

Chester, along with the other children went up in groups of 4. Chester was amongst the 2nd group, which I was pleased about, meaning he had time to observe what was expected of him! There was so much tension in the room and for the first time in a long time I saw a very nervous little boy! But he did an amazing job, showing he could do his kicks, high blocks, press ups, sit ups, squats and count to 5 in Korean.

Here he is counting to 5....

So a super well done to Chester and all of the other Tygers for their achievement yesterday!
