Ready Brek takes me back to cold winter mornings of my childhood. I used to request that my Mum added cocoa to mine to make it more chocolatey! My love for ready brek hasn't changed over the years, perhaps because it has no lumps in it, maybe because it is so easy to make, or maybe just because it is so yummy!
Ready brek, the UK’s top selling porridge for kids under ten, (hardly surprising really, both of my children are fans). Are to build on its existing Easy Sachets porridge range by adding two delicious new flavours to the mix just in time for the back to school season. Available in Chocolate and Gingerbread flavour, these child friendly smooth oat porridges are a great winter warmer and the perfect addition to any breakfast table.
Designed to appeal both to parents - looking to ensure their kids have a wholesome and nutritious start to the day – and kids who just want something tasty of a morning, the new flavours boost all of Ready brek’s nutritional credentials. Made from wholegrain oats a serving is high in fibre as well as delivering 50% RDA of Calcium and 25% RDA of Iron and Vitamins.
As the only fortified branded kids porridge available on the market, Ready brek Easy Sachets have been designed with convenience and ease of use in mind. Ensuring mums can make perfect, super smooth, lump free porridge every time to appeal to even the fussiest of eaters.
Knowing that Ready Brek is nutritionally good for my children is great peace of mind for me. I mean, after all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day isn't it? So what better way to start the day, than with a bowl of Ready Brek?!
As you all know I am a great lover of two things Disney World and Christmas. So when Ready Brek told me they were bringing out a Gingerbread Easy Sachet range, I squealed in excitement! The smell of Gingerbread reminds me so much of walking down Main Street, and also of Christmas!
I could not wait to try the new flavours!
I love that they are in convenient packs with milk measuring markers on the sachets. Meaning if we wanted to take them on holiday with us (which we are going to do by the way) we do not need to hunt for a measuring jug! We even do not need to worry about a microwave, as you can simply boil the milk in a pan first, perfect for camping trips!
Flavour wise, unsurprisingly, the Gingerbread one was mine and Chester's favourite. It wasn't as strong as I thought it would be, but then I am used to really bold gingerbread flavours. It actually was the perfect balance, not too overpowering. The serving size was just enough for both children and adults alike. Although Millie is a toddler and she ate around half a serving, anyone that knows Millie will know this is a massive achievement! Of course Millie's favourite was the Chocolate! I swear she is more mad on Chocolate than me!!
Overall a thumbs up from us, Ready Brek Easy Sachets are available in Asda now and will roll out in all other major supermarkets over the coming weeks. Ready brek Easy Sachet Original will be RRP £1.99 for a pack of 8 sachets, Ready Brek Easy Sachet in Chocolate and Gingerbread flavour will be RRP £1.99 for a pack of 6 sachets.
So who is hungry for Ready Brek?!
