Lets be honest, I am NOT a morning person at all! I have said it before, I have real trouble sleeping, if I sleep for 4 hours a night that is a good night for me. So its no surprise that I struggle to get out of bed and get motivated in the morning!
I always go to bed with good intentions for the next morning, I always aim to get up early and be organised. But the reality is, the School run is 9 times out of 10 a complete nightmare for me!
You see, no matter how hard I try I just can not seem to get it right in the mornings!
Its like a comedy show in my house in the mornings, you can usually hear yells of 'Chester, can you get dressed' at least 50 times. Along with 'Millie you can't go out of the house wearing odd shoes.... no stop the tantrum we need to go' as well as 'no you can't take 10 teddies and 4 dollies with you'!
This is how Millie leaves the house most days at the moment...
My #MorningWin is the very VERY rare days where we actually get out of the house on time! I could get up at 4am and we still would be late leaving for the School run!
I mean, does this look like they are getting their shoes on and lining up by the front door?!...
No, no it doesnt. It appears that what they actually heard when I asked them to get their shoes on and line up by the door, was create a den and watch videos on YouTube!
I then spend the entire journey worrying that we are going to be late! Luckily we almost always manage to make it on time (so I guess you could say that is my #MorningWin too), but the stress it causes me is enormous!
After the School run, on the way back home with Millie. I usually give myself a pat on the back and try to reassure myself, that even though it was as hectic as usual I did a good job at getting him to School on time! Yay! Well done me!
Because of the hectic rush of the School run I rarely get time to even think about breakfast for myself, and if I do its normally a few spoons of cereal whilst getting the kids breakfast ready, or a couple of bites of toast (normally the kids leftovers) whilst putting Millie's shoes on!
belVita have brought out new belVita Breakfast Crunchy biscuits. they offer a fruity, extra nutty or chocolaty option as part of your breakfast experience, This is great for someone like me, when my own breakfast is bottom of the morning list of todo's!
I was sent the biscuits in Apricot, Hazelnut and Chocolate Chip flavours to try out, and have to say they are very scrummy and go perfectly with a cup of tea when I get back from the School run! I barely got a look in with the Apricot variety though as Craig nabbed them for himself! I was so surprised he chose that flavour as he is not a fruit lover at all, but he said the fruity flavour was a refreshing change to his breakfast routine! I personally loved the Chocolate Chip variety, no surprises there!
They are also the only breakfast biscuits proven to slowly release carbohydrates over four hours as part of a balanced breakfast. Another plus, as they have actually stopped me wanting to reach for the snacks before lunch time!
