Messy play - getting into the World Cup spirit!

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, you will know that the World Cup begins today!

I am so excited about it!

This will be Chester's second World Cup, and Millie's first. I want them to enjoy all of the fun and excitement, some of the matches are on a bit late for them, but it doesn't mean they have to miss out!

Today, Millie and I got the paint out and decided to make our own England Flags!

Things got a little messy!

We decided to use hands and feet to create the flags! We also got the glue out (at Millie's request) and made a flag using scrunched up crepe paper.

Millie really loved it, I explained to her why we were making them. She got all excited when I mentioned football, as Chester is just getting into football, so anything he likes she does too! The flags were really easy for toddler Millie to make, so it kept her interest.

What do you think?!
