Lemon scented bubble dough!

We made bubble dough last year and Millie loved it. But she was probably a bit too little to fully appreciate it.

So last week when we had a rare sunny day, I thought it would be a good idea to get in the garden and make some bubble dough!

Bubble Dough is very easy to make, all you need is washing up liquid and cornflour. We decided to use Lemon washing up liquid because we like the scent. You can use any scent you like or even liquid hand soap!

You simply tip some cornflour into a bowl and squeeze in some washing up liquid a little at a time, until you have a soft and smooth consistency.

The bubble dough is lovely to hold and play with. It's easy for toddlers to pull apart and shape.

Millie was happily playing with it for ages. She made a spider, pressed some holes for eyes and made 2 legs. She then sung incey wincey spider to me.

She asked if I could make Anna from Frozen (which I did, badly), she then role played with Anna and Incey spider! Apparently Anna saved the day and squashed Incey spider! So cute!

We love cornflour activities here! What's your favourite kind of messy play activity?!
