Christmas pinwheel cookies

Ok, ok, OK. I know I said in my last post that I was having a blogging holiday over Christmas. BUT... Yesterday I finally got round to making some pinwheel cookies that I discovered on Crumbs and Corkscrews thanks to Pinterest.

They got such a great reaction on my own personal Facebook page that I thought it was only fair that I share with you all too!

I did everything the same as Crumbs and Corkscrews apart from I chose to leave out the peppermint. They were a lot easier to make than I thought, the hardest part was waiting for the dough to chill!!

Here they are....

Dough ready for the fridge...

4 hours later, they look like this...

14 minutes after that, they look like...

Of course, I couldn't just leave it there so some of them had a bit of a Disney twist too....

My batch made 38 cookies! That's more than enough to share with family AND to leave for Father Christmas tomorrow night!

What do you think? Will they make it onto your Christmas bake list next year?!
